Salary Information
Finding accurate salary estimates is a difficult task because salaries are influenced by where you want to work, the size of employer, corporate restrictions, and role of the job (not to be confused with the job title, which is another issue). In the US, a job in New York will likely pay more than a similar job in Los Angeles. Larger companies might be able to pay more than a smaller company but some larger companies might pay less because of their preceived value of having that company on your resume.
My best suggestion on salaries is to address that issue when you are doing your research and when you are engaging in discussions with your network using the approach I outline in Chapters 8 through 11 in 12 Steps to a New Career.
